Before you consider adopting a cat, please ensure you can Answer Yes to the following Questions:
|
■ |
Are you ready to make a long-term commitment? (Cats often live up to 15 or 20 years)
|
■ |
Does your lifestyle realistically accommodate a pet? Most changes in your life shouldn't affect your ability to give your cat a good home. Cats should never be considered disposable. This includes moving. If you own a cat and find out you have to move, ensure there aren't any "no pet" clauses in a lease agreement or condo contract of sale.
|
■ |
Is your cat more important than your carpet or furniture?
|
■ |
Do you have the patience and are you willing to commit to understanding basic cat behavior and training?
|
■ |
Are you ready to take on the responsibility of caring for a cat? Do you have time to devote to that care with love and attention?
|
■ |
Is everyone in your household in favor of adopting a cat and are you certain that none of your family members are allergic to cats?

The Adoption Process
|
If you are interested in the pet featured on our website, arrange to drop by the store to spend some time with him/her.
Don't be shy to ask us questions. Our staff will only be too happy to introduce you to these beautiful "dear-hearts" as well as give you some insight into their personalities, habits and likes/dislikes. We spend our days with them and see their reactions to various types of situations as well as the way they interact with other people and animals they meet during the day.
If you come to the conclusion that a particular kitten/cat would make a welcome addition to your loving home, we will continue to care for him/her while you complete Animal Aid's process for adoption.
